Kristen has been promoting and producing live shows since the age of 16. Her very first event featured nine local Maryland bands performing at her high school — an experience that inspired her to launch her original promotions company, Simple Underground Productions.

While attending Towson University, Kristen hosted a radio show on XTSR dedicated to spotlighting Maryland artists including Loving the Lie, Outreach, Sparks to Inferno, Valencia, and many more.

In 2009, she graduated from Towson University with a bachelor’s degree in Radio, Electronic Media, and Film (Mass Communication). During college, she gained hands-on experience working in the promotions departments for Mix 106.5 and 105.7 The Fan, where she learned firsthand how powerful branding and promotions can be for both artists and businesses.

Over the years, Kristen expanded her creative experience into political campaign marketing, handling logo design, websites, mailers, and video scripts, while also serving her community as a volunteer firefighter, EMR, and social media co-chair for her volunteer fire company.

After taking time to focus on motherhood, Kristen returned to the creative industry with a renewed passion and vision. Today, through Pretty Promotions, she helps bands, businesses, and brands stand out through photography, branding, website design, social media content, video reels, marketing, and promotions.
